Nuance, aroma & taste

Pale yellow.

Very expressive notes of citrus peel, blackcurrant buds, smoked butter with a touch of vanilla and toast.

Round and rich, with a fresh and refreshing substance, aromas as expressive on the pallet as the nose whilst remaining well balanced.

The end taste is full of peps, notes of lemon curd, once again a hint of blackcurrant and a touch of toastiness.

Perfect for apperitifs and/or tapas...

Serve between 10 and 12°C

Les Darons Rouge Magnum

« Les Darons » (meaning fathers) is a wine which is representative of western Languedoc: the most southern wine region in France, based mainly on Grenache planted on clay and limestone soils.

Grape varieties

70% Grenache / 20% Syrah / 10% Carignan

Origin

France / Languedoc

Nuance, aroma & taste

Deep red with glints of purple.

Hints of red fruit yoghurts, and with aeration fruits such as plums, blueberries and blackberries combined with cinnamon and white pepper spices.

Combines amplitude and stress with a dense and silky matter. Mature tannins which easily pass thanks to the fruit and its freshness.
Powerful, full-bodied and luscious with numerous but not over-bearing spices finishing with menthol resinous notes.

Pairing

Barbecues, red and white meats, a red wine for all occasions… and a magnum especially for the week-ends…

Serve between 15 and 18°C
Aging potential: At least 8 years.

Lilac Wine

‘’Lilac Wine’’ is a song written and composed by James Shelton in 1950 and interpreted since by a number of artists such as Nina Simone or Jeff Buckley. It is also a homage from Jeff, a fan of jazz, to his father, amateur of mature Moulin-àVent wines.

70% Grenache / 30% Syrah

Origin

France / Roussillon / Vallée de l’Agly

Nuance, aroma & taste

Transparent garnet-red.

Blackberry, plum, liquorice and earth aromas together with some mineral notes.

A rich and intense wine, well-balanced with a beautiful notes of pepper, black cherries, wilderness and leather.

Pairing

Serve with mixed grills, piquillos peppers, or a leg of lamb...

Recommendations

Serve at 16°C
Aging potential: At least 10 years.

Vieille Mule Rouge

Easily labelled, because the emblem for the Catalans is the mule, and old because the vines are old, but quite simply because the mule’s head looks great on the bottles!

100% Grenache

Origin

France / Roussillon / Case de Pêne / Vallée de l’Agly

Nuance, aroma & taste

Deep crimson. Fruits (tomatoes,…) and spices (balsamic,…).

Cherry kirsch, wild herbs, liquorice, exotic spices.

Medium bodied and voluptuous with a slight pearly effect which gives a light and airy side to the wine (airy is perhaps pushing it a bit), but in any case greedy!

Pairing

Mixed grills, white meats...

Serve between 13°C
Aging potential: At least 5 years.
